We live in abundant times indeed. As I look back over the year that has been, I’m filled with endless gratitude for the many teachers who have added immensely to my sense of being and sense of self.
Osho is my first and most beloved master. Over the last six years of listening to Him and practising His meditations, my love for life has expanded and my sense of self evolved indescribably. The celebration, the dance, the playfulness, the bliss – there are no words to explain the transformation.
Then last year, with my health challenges, Life nudged me to search for healers and teachers with unique yet specific teachings. From Louis Hay, I learnt that the mind can be un-trained from its negative thought patterns, taught new positive ones, and consequently the body can heal. From Doreen Virtue I learnt that we are deeply loved and supported by loving beings who surround us, wanting us to live nothing short of joyful, peaceful lives. From Wayne Dyer I learnt the gentle power of intention and the joy and exhilaration of feeling inspired. From Abraham, via the hilarious Esther and the bashful Jerry, I learnt that nothing is more important than feeling good and that I have complete and utter control over my temperament. From Judy Hall I learnt about the crystals and how they help heal and rejuvenate. From Byron Katie, I learnt to love the is-ness of every moment and live in deep surrender and gratitude…
And it isn’t over yet. I’m already learning the integrative role of nutrition from Joshua Rosenthal’s book ‘Integrative Nutrition‘. I’m also looking forward to learning Yoga and Ayurveda at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre. A friend of mine recently learnt basics of home organic farming, which I’m eager to learn soon.
And so in this very life-time, right here, we are surrounded by wise, knowing teachers, in all shapes and forms, willing and wanting to take us to a higher level of awareness. What else can I do but bow my head and join my hands in deep gratitude for this opportunity….
This video is a great excerpt from one of Abraham-Hicks’ talks.
